That brings to us a major question : how can an un-muse sustain its very existance ? If the bond with a human is cut, this human’s imagination no longer sustains the muse, does it ? We knew about the muse’s power, but here it is mentionned it also works with the muse’s very existence, wich means un-muse should not even exist… O_o

I’d hate to walk down a dark alley and meet the Muse of people like Jack the Ripper and Madame Delphine LaLauri. Though I’d love to meet the Muse of someone like Gennadi Balitski. Or maybe Ayn Rand’s Muse (“Reality is perception,” “Yeah, but then how do you exist?”) Still, that comment about “whispering ideas into your head,” Spooky stuff. “Yes, that man would look good in the living room, stuffed, of course,” Speaking of which, I wonder, what does a taxidermist’s Muse look like? Do musician’s muses take physical form or are they beautiful tunes that float about Fanfyria? What about a chef’s muse? Once you eat the food, is it gone forever? Oh! This has got my mind spinning! Love this out of the box thinking guys, your comic is the best!

@Eugene
If that comic inspired you in some way, then my job is done. ^_~

The whispering ideas part… every artist/writer/creator in any way has to agree that inspiration tends to hit at most random places or simple small things at random locations can lead to grand ideas. Didn`t a fall of an apple over someone`s head birth a great discovery afterwards? ^^

I won`t be walking in other famous people`s shoes though and keep FanFyria with fictional people, their muses, their stores etc. But I will be exploring the concept of course. That`s what the whole story is about.

@Jindra34
Explanations are on their way ^^

@Darth Killer
Well technically it is like a circle. Muses inspire humans to create, their creations give power to the muses (may say inspire even) then they inspire to make bigger or more complicated creations or to improve and so on and so on. ^^

Dang…this page got people thinking in a good way. ^__^

And E clearly needs to listen to his own muse more. One gets used to the whispered ideas pretty quickly. XP

And to add to the answer to Darth – muses also tend to inspire humans simply by their very nature of who (and what) they are. It’s not so different from having a person that you admire and saying “that person inspires me” because of their personality/appearance/beliefs/etc or whatever it is about them that you admire. It’s just that it happens on a much deeper and more subconscious level with muses, at least at first. Then the bond grows, and that reinforces the circle Denny was mentioning.

@Joey
Were ya’ talking to me about listening to my Muse? I’d like to think that I do. But my audience is just a few close friends around a table with some dice; I lack the skill to do anything more with my ideas. But a few close friends is still quite nice, I think.

@Eugene

Sorry…I was just teasing you since you were commenting on the “whispering ideas into your head” as spooky stuff, and I was just saying it’s not spooky at all once you get used to it. XP

For me though, the best way I can describe my muse’s presence in my mind, in real world terms….is that it’s like a surge of intense emotion and drive and longing that, when it strikes me, feels like it’s not quite myself, and coming from some other source. Even though I like to joke about “voices in my head” it’s not so much actual words as it is the feelings that, when they come, make me want to write or draw.

Feelings that I haven’t had very much of recently…sadly. TT
Oh well.

And really – a few close friends is all that you need around you to make your ideas come to life. Heck, some of my writing projects, I never show to more than a few people, and yet that makes the vast amounts of time i put into them still so worth it. ^^

Make that 22! Or… 23. Whatever!
Anyways, the problem with the voices is that each one leads to several others. Then they start talking over one another, and the volume keeps increasing. Needless to say, I get headaches often, ecspecially when the outside enviroment is anywhere above normal.
